Where? What? Who? Why?Advice and support when you have questions to ask or need a shoulder to lean on.
I lived in China for a year. I taught English for a while. Owrked at a youth hostel. Its pretty easy for foriegners to find jobs there, especially teaching English. In Chinese you dont even need a a degree, or a brain. You just need to be a native speaker. When I as living in Xi'an I was offered jobs either modeling or teaching English, almost daily!
Anyone can ride with you in your limo but what you really want is someone who will walk with you when your limo breaks down
In China you dont need a degree. just be a native speaker. Do they pay for your housing and food in Kores?? Just curious?? SOme places in China do other don't. Depends on the program. There are alot of shady programs in China though.

Lol, a Chinese Canadian colleague of mine told that he wanted to get a teaching job in China, but he didn't as he was originally Chinese (though his English is perfect). The job was given to some white French dude whose English was crappy

But then my colleague got another job in China
same thing happens in Japan. You could be european with a bad accent and still teach ENGLISH there, while a Chinese-American with perfect English probably wouldnt get the job.
Nordic-kulta, Pidän sinusta oikein paljon. Kiinalaisten ja suomalaisten lapsista tulee kauniita!

But you won't have that problem in Brazil! But then again, it's hard as heck to survive teaching english in Brazil.

I guess my question is how do you afford to live in another country especially asia.
I mean isn't places like Seoul, Corea and Tokyo, Japan have high living costs? How in the world do ya afford it? English teaching jobs?
I guess China and Taiwan might be cheap and maybe the Phillipines, but seriously ladies, where the money comin from?
Rising costs to plane tickets and language barriers. Wow, my head is hurting from thinking about it?
I'm just curious about the answer that's all.
I lived in Sapporo, Japan and taught english at a private school awhile back. The cost of living was definitely on the higher side and I couldn't afford to eat the types of things I eat here but I made it work...I also lost 30 lbs!! LOL I ended up rooming with a co-worker and that helped immensely. I say where there's a will there's a way. It's just something you figure out in order to have the experience.
